What's new on Cloudsmith

We are thrilled to announce that Cloudsmith now supports proxying and caching Helm packages from upstream repositories. This new feature is part of our ongoing commitment to being the single source of truth for customers' software assets.

Now, in addition to publishing your own charts to a private Cloudsmith repository, you can also access Helm charts from an upstream repository through Cloudsmith. By proxying and caching the charts in your Cloudsmith repository, you can reduce the time and bandwidth usage for accessing Helm charts as well as more easily share your charts within your organization.

By using Cloudsmith to proxy and cache your Helm packages, your team can experience numerous benefits, including:

• Streamlined setup: You only need to configure your clients to use your Cloudsmith repository, eliminating the need for additional repositories.
• Enhanced resilience: In the event that the upstream repository experiences downtime or is otherwise unavailable, you can still access the cached versions of the packages stored in Cloudsmith.
